PRECINCTS

General

The smallest and most important political unit in the Democratic Party is the precinct.  The precinct is comprised of registered voters totaling between 500 - 1500 people.  The precinct is the unit that is organized to support Democratic candidates and get out the vote on election day.

Precincts are often organized around a central polling place where people cast their ballots.  Due to the population growth in Beaufort County, many precincts share the same polling location.

Beaufort County Precincts

In Beaufort County, there are 126 precincts. Each precinct has an executive committee member. All Precinct Executive Committee members are members of the Beaufort County Democratic Party Executive Committee.
