📢 STATE AID TO LIBRARIES (BUDGET PROVISO 27.1) - Call State Senator

📞 Call Script:

Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [CITY,  ZIP].  I am calling Senator [NAME] to express my concerns about the changes to Proviso 27.1 regarding State Aid to Public Libraries.

While I understand the focus on content in children’s sections, Beaufort County Library already complies with state requirements. It has established local policies for residents to request reconsideration of items in the collection.

The changes to this proviso represent an overreach by the state and an overstep of the authority of the local library board, which is responsible for these decisions.

This will also lead to an undue burden on the State Library by requiring them to investigate complaints that are more appropriately handled at the local level.  I urge you to oppose this proviso.

📢URGE CURTIS LOFTIS TO RESIGN - Call State Senator Tom Davis

📞Call Script:

Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [CITY,  ZIP].  I’m calling to urge [Senator Davis] to support calls for the resignation of State Treasurer Curtis Loftis.

Loftis has failed the people of South Carolina by mismanaging $1.8 billion in public funds.

He has flip-flopped on whether the money existed and misled the legislature and the public. Rather than take accountability, he’s blamed others while refusing to acknowledge his failures.  The SC Supreme Court has denied Loftis’ request to stop the Senate hearing in this case.

He announced he intends to run for re-election for the office he has abused.

Let’s restore public trust in the Treasurer’s office and force Loftis to step down.

📢OPPOSE SENATE BILL 37 - TAXPAYER FUNDING FOR SO-CALLED CRISIS PREGNANCY CENTERS - Call State Senator Tom Davis

📞Call Script:

Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [CITY,  ZIP].  I’m calling to urge [Senator Davis] to oppose Senate Bill 37.

The bill would provide taxpayer-funded incentives to Crisis Pregnancy Centers (CPCs) – organizations that use deceptive practices to mislead people seeking abortion care.

CPCs frequently misrepresent themselves as medical providers, offering misinformation to discourage individuals from accessing necessary healthcare.

CPCs have no proven track record of improving maternal or infant health outcomes. South Carolinians deserve policies that invest in evidence-based healthcare solutions that genuinely support families.

Please urge the subcommittee to reject this harmful bill.

📢 BRING ABREGO GARCIA HOME

📞 Call Script:

Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [CITY,  ZIP].  I’m calling to urge [Senator Graham/Scott or Representative Mace] to defend the constitutional right of anyone living in the United States to the due process of law prior to deportation.

Kilmar Arego Garcia has been deported to a gulag in El Salvador. The White House has admitted Garcia’s deportation was an “administrative error”.

Garcia had been granted protection from deportation by an immigration judge, but by ignoring his constitutional right to due process, the Trump administration has condemned him to hell in one of the world’s worst prisons.

The Supreme Court has required the administration to “facilitate” his return to the US, but so far the administration has ignored the Court. You, as our elected representative, have a duty to protect the right to the due process of law and demand the immediate return of Arego Garcia.

📢 STOP THE ATTACKS ON THE FEDERAL COURT SYSTEM - OPPOSE THE NO ROGUE RULINGS ACT - Contact Senators Scott/Graham

📞 Call Script:

Hi, my name is [NAME], and I’m a constituent from [CITY,  ZIP].  I’m calling to demand that [Senator Graham/Scott] oppose H.R. 1526, the No Rogue Rulings Act, and any other attempt to rewrite the federal court system.

Impeaching judges and changing their constitutional authority just because Trump doesn’t like their rulings is grossly authoritarian and must be stopped.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

📢 STOP TRUMP’S ECONOMY WRECKING, ON-AGAIN-OFF-AGAIN TARIFFS, AND TAKE BACK CONGRESSIONAL AUTHORITY

📞 Call Script:

Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [CITY,  ZIP]. I'm calling today to demand that [Senator Graham/Scott or Representative Mace] exert Congressional authority to halt irrationally aggressive tariffs imposed on goods from nearly every other country.

Most economists agree that tariffs are a tax that American companies and consumers ultimately pay. The announcement of these tariffs has already tanked the markets and moved us closer to recession.

Congress must take back its control of tariffs from this rogue president. Thank you for your time and consideration.

📢 DEMAND A TOWN HALL - Contact Congresswoman Mace

📞 Call Script:

Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [CITY,  ZIP]. I’m calling because I want Congresswoman Mace to host a town hall in CD01 during the April Congressional recess.

I was disappointed to learn that the Congresswoman will be holding an event in N. Augusta, SC, which is not in her district, but has not yet scheduled an open town hall for her constituents.

Please remind Congresswoman Mace that she works for the people of CD 01 and we deserve the chance to ask her questions and hear her response.

Thank you for your time.

📢 OPPOSE THE SAVE ACT - Call Senators Scott/Graham

📞 Call Script:

Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [CITY,  ZIP].  I’m calling to urge [Senator Graham/Scott] to defeat the SAVE Act, which would silence millions of voters by creating new barriers to voter registration that make it harder for Americans to vote.

Under the SAVE Act, which has already passed in the House, most voters would not be able to register to vote with their driver's license alone, requiring voters to provide documentation that many don’t have, like a U.S. passport or birth certificate.

Even a change of address or political party would require these documents, forcing voters to jump unnecessary hurdles to exercise a fundamental freedom in our democracy.
