📢 EXTEND INCREASED TAX CREDITS FOR ACA PREMIUMS
Call Senators Graham and Scott, Representative Mace
📞 Sample Call Script:
Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [CITY, ZIP]. I’m calling to urge [Senator Graham/Scott or Representative Mace] to demand protection of the Affordable Care Act.
The ACA has provided affordable health insurance for 15,000 Beaufort County residents with 90% receiving premium tax credits. Those tax credits are set to expire at the end of 2025 due to the Billionaire Bailout Bill.
A family of four in our county will pay $2300 or more per year as a result. Some will lose their coverage entirely. Local hospitals and clinics will face rising costs for uncompensated care and will either start charging more or will close entirely.
This is not just a health issue - it’s an economic issue. Healthcare is a right, not a luxury. You must protect tax credits.

📢 CONDEMN THE ICE RAIDS AND INHUMANE DETENTION PRACTICES
Call Senators Graham and Scott, Representative Mace
📞 Sample Call Script:
Hello, my name is [NAME], and I’m a constituent from [CITY, ZIP]. I’m calling to demand that [Senator Graham / Senator Scott / Representative Mace] immediately:
-
Condemn the ICE raids that are terrorizing immigrants and U.S. citizens alike, and
-
End your support for the inhumane detention centers that resemble modern-day concentration camps.
Your continued support for these cruel and unconstitutional actions is a blatant violation of the First and Fourteenth Amendments — and a disgraceful breach of your oath of office.
You are complicit in policies that inflict suffering and violate basic human rights. Your refusal to stand with your constituents and uphold the values this country claims to represent is shameful.
We will not forget your choices — and we will vote you out of office.
If leaving voicemail: Please leave your full name and street address to ensure your call is tallied.

📢 CONDEMN THE UNLAWFUL, INDISCRIMINATE ROUND UP OF IMMIGRANTS AND US CITIZENS
Call Senators Graham and Scott, Congresswoman Mace
📞 Sample Call Script :
Hi, my name is [NAME] and I’m a constituent from [CITY, ZIP]. I’m calling to urge [Senator Graham/Scott or Representative Mace] to speak out against the unlawful and indiscriminate arrests of both immigrants and U.S. citizens.
The President promised to prioritize the deportation of criminals. Instead, this administration is targeting hardworking immigrants, legal residents, and even citizens—people who contribute daily to our economy and community.
Here in Beaufort County, immigrants are essential. They harvest our crops, clean our hotels, and build our homes. Arresting and deporting these individuals without cause would be devastating—not just morally, but economically.
Please do your job. Stand up for the Constitution and defend the rights and livelihoods of all who call this country home.
If leaving voicemail: Please leave your full name and street address to ensure your call is tallied.

📢 OPPOSE CONCENTRATION CAMPS IN SC
Call Governor McMaster
📞 Sample Call Script:
Hello, my name is [Your Name], and I am a resident of Beaufort County, South Carolina. I am calling to strongly oppose Governor McMaster’s reported openness to establishing what amounts to concentration camps for immigrants—both documented and undocumented—as well as citizens.
Let me be absolutely clear: This is not who we are as South Carolinians or as Americans.
Creating or allowing mass detention facilities for human beings on our soil is a grotesque abuse of power, an insult to our shared values, and a dangerous step toward authoritarianism. These types of camps do not make us safer—they dehumanize, divide, and disgrace us.
I demand that he publicly and unequivocally reject any efforts to open mass detention facilities in South Carolina. If he chooses instead to side with extremist, anti-immigrant policies, he will face massive public backlash from his own constituents—including me.
We will not sit silently while our state is used as a testing ground for human rights violations.

📢 OPPOSE BEAUFORT COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE USE OF THE 287(g) PROGRAM
Contact Sheriff Tanner
📩EMAIL SCRIPT:
Hello, my name is [NAME], and I’m a constituent from Beaufort County. I urge you to withdraw Beaufort County’s application to participate in the 287(g) program.
-
Changed federal priorities mean new risks. Whatever you feel was “successful” from 2007‑2012 no longer applies. Today’s ICE tactics—unconstitutional raids, drag‑net arrests, and prolonged detentions—could quickly take hold in our own community if this agreement moves forward.
-
Data show it targets minor offenders, not “violent criminals.” Statewide 287(g) records reveal repeated arrests for low‑level traffic violations and simple possession, not serious crimes. ICE’s May 2025 report confirms South Carolina detentions for expired licenses—hardly the “public‑safety threats” the program claims to remove.
-
Our local economy depends on immigrant labor. More than 17 percent of Beaufort County residents are foreign‑born, and tourism, hospitality, agriculture, and construction all rely on this workforce. Driving them underground or out of the county would damage hundreds of businesses and the families that depend on them.
In short, 287(g) would make Beaufort County less safe, less prosperous, and less just. I ask you to honor our community’s values and withdraw the application immediately.
Thank you for your attention.
Respectfully,
[Your name]
